Per il fuoriclasse olandese, vincitore come al solito in perfetta solitudine, si tratta del sedicesimo successo stagionale su diciotto gare disputate mentre la campionessa belga ha realizzato il suo sesto exploit stagionale.

Hanno completato il podio maschile il giovane Quentin Hermans (Telenet Fidea), giunto a 14”, e Tom Meeusen (a 28”), compagno di squadra dello stesso Van der Poel. Sul podio femminile, invece, salgono al secondo posto l’altra belga Loes Sels, che ha conteso fino all’ultimo il primato alla Cant, terza la statunitense Katherine Compton.

Nelle gare giovanili da segnalare il successo del francese Florian Richard Andrade nella prova degli Juniores, così come la prestazione dell’abruzzese Lorenzo Masciarelli (Callant Doltcini), ancora una volta protagonista in Belgio, con il secondo posto tra gli Allievi, a soli 14” dal vincitore, il belga Jente Michels.
